Project Description

Billaway was a startup that provided a white-labeled version of Ebates, an Affiliate & Loyalty Programs marketing platform. Their intended audience was telcos, utilities, and petrol companies, all who had large consumer client databases and who needed a Consumer Loyalty Program. One of their largest clients was Gulf Oil, whose gasoline buyers signed up for a consumer loyalty points program for each fill-up. Roughly a year after this project was completed, Billaway pivoted their company and now offers a different service.

PROBLEM

Billaway had a great anchor client, Gulf, and was ready for their next stage as a startup. They next needed to grow their team, brand, and customer acquisition model and results. They had chosen telcos as their primary target audience (which inherently have an 18+ month sales cycle), but because these companies are hard to get into, they were struggling to open doors to sales meetings with decision makers.

OUR OBSERVATION

Billaway had a great team, clever one-of-a-kind white-labeled product, and a fantastic first client (Gulf), but simply lacked a professional looking and wow branded website that expressed what they did and for whom. In addition, they needed a model and platform for client acquisition.

OUR MARKETING SOLUTION

We first spent a lot of time working with the team honing their brand message for the website and that the entire team could sell. Then, after understanding their design wishes, we created a brand message and modern catchy website that told their story succinctly and with pizzazz. We used that brand message to script a selling methodology and sales pitch for the outside sales team. Lastly, since they were a B2B startup, we helped them create their CRM solution, using Perdoo and a few other sales tools, that together integrated into a full-on marketing to salesperson funnel platform.

RESULT

Prior to doubleDARE media, they had trouble opening doors to the right decision makers. After our work was complete, they had opened conversations with numerous companies (Comcast, Dish TV, etc.) and sold another deal to a large oil company, Sinclair Oil.
